When Did The OINP Employer Portal Open?

The OINP Employer Portal, e-Filing Portal, and Expression of Interest (EOI) System are officially open as of August 4, 2026, which means that the Ontario Workforce Priority Stream (OWPS) intake is fully active and functional and ready for employers to start generating job offers and linking job to Job Offer ID to Expression of Interest for the healthcare, skilled trade, or Information Technology applicant.

OINP Employer Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Job Offer Generation

Lawseph has a female client who initially immigrated via study from the Carranglan Philippines to Etobicoke Ontario. The client has family in Canada who are Canadian Citizens and who approached us through a client referral to process their niece’s study permit as her first step in her pathway to Permanent Residence (PR) in Canada. Lawseph processed her Study Permit in 2023 at Centennial College for a 2-Year Early Childhood Education (ECE) Ontario College Diploma. The client graduated in 2025, and Lawseph processed a Post-graduate Work Permit (PGWP) which allowed the client to find an employer at a Pre-school Academy who offered her a job as a Registered Early Childhood Educator. The employer liked the client right away and 1 month after being hired started the OINP Process by creating the job offer in the employer portal, linking the job offer ID to the job and providing the ID to the applicant to use in registering an Expression of Interest (EOI). Lawseph processed the EOI for the client and the client received an Invitation to Apply (ITA). Lawseph processed the client’s ITA that led to the client receiving a Provincial Nominee Certificate, which means the client can finally apply for Permanent Residence in Canada in 2026.

Key Employer Details To Know for OINP

Portal Status and Intake Details

OINP Status: The OINP Employer Portal and Expression of Interest system is , since August 04, 2026, open and live for late summer applicants.

OWPS New Stream: Ontario Workforce Priority Stream (OWPS) requires an employer generated job offer, an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the applicant, and a Job Offer ID linked to the EOI, binding the entire Workforce Priority Eligibility Criteria. A new job would mean a new job offer ID generated by the employer and more action for the employer in the employer portal.

Employer Process: Employers must log in to their Secure My Ontario Account to create/register their business which will require data input of business details, submit an approved and in-demand job offer information, and the applicant will use the Job Offer ID when creating the Expression Of Interest in their Client My Ontario Account.

Applicant Deadline: Healthcare, Skilled Trades, or Early Childhood (ECE) Workers have exactly one month from the submission of the qualified job offer date to bind the ID to the applicant’s Expression of Interest. Clients must be aware of when their 30 days range will start and end when finalizing the submission of their EOI.
